What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, I will need to establish the event date and estimated time, brief description of the customer's event, estimated guest numbers, which venue they will potentially be holding the event. With this information, I can utilise my previous established experience to construct a very competitive quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

To begin with, ask the provider some small details about what they have to offer in relation to the type of service you require for your event. if you wish to have stage or parlour magic, be sure to find out if your said providers actually provide this, many magicians are experts in their field of close up magic and may not necessarily put on stage shows. Check the provider's previous reviews, this is a clear indication of how they are perceived by previous customers.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was very interested in magic since age 18, a little late some may say, I never had magic sets as a child, instead discovered the art by seeing close up street magic on TV from then I was hooked, many years and real-life practise has led me to be what many customers have called 'an absolute magical talent'. I'm humbled by the kind reviews I get, it doesn't increase ego, but increases by love and passion for what I do, which in turn makes me deliver the magic better and better than before. I loved seeing peoples reactions, it was infectious to see, began as a hobby, now, a professional art that brings people together.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

So, Add to Event is actually my most successful means of the customer to supplier formats that I've ever used. A more recent booking I had was a lovely private gathering for a 60th birthday, it was lovely to see familiar faces there, as this was, a repeat booking and their 2nd time having me at a family gathering, so thanks to Add to Event, I have managed to form some recurring friendships through the magic bookings. The system is SO easy, accurate, very reliable and fair. I do mention Add to Event as a very good platform to other professions that I meet at gigs. I sincerely hope to Add to Event will be around for many many, many, years to come.
