What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote, I need to know where and when the event is taking place, what type of performance is required (strolling magic, an intimate show or a hypnotism show) and if you are interested in any of our other services (such as photographers, mobile disco). It also helps if you provide a brief description of the event including how many people are in attendance and their approximate age groups.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ideally where possible, look at video(s) of the performer in action and look out for the reactions that performer receives and video testimonials if they have any. Whilst performance skills are important, professionalism and likability are also key factors when hiring a magician and these traits should come across on video.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been an active performer as long as I remember and so there was never really a 'start' point that I recall. Entertaining was something I was always passionate about and so it was a logical thing for me to do. Even when I was primary school age, in my spare time I was rehearsing and performing throughout the country. As my skills and reputation grew, so did my business which has now caters to hundreds of events every year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As I cater to well over 100 events every year, its hard to single out any particular event as being special, however Add to Event set myself up with entertaining at a surprise 100th birthday party. Despite the gentleman's advanced years, he was in great health and both himself and his guests were very appreciative of my services. I would not have any hesitation to recommend Add to Event to anyone.
