What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote to a client... I need to know the date & time of the event. I also need to know the type of event being held, as well as how many people they are expecting. Lastly, I'll need to know the venue (or a rough idea of the location).
Upon receiving this information, I can happily put forward my quote to perform at the event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a Magician to perform at your event, I think one of the key factors to look at is their experience. A good magician will know several tricks... a GREAT magician knows how to approach people, when to approach people, as well as the types of material to perform in a given situation. You also want someone who looks the part and presents themselves in line with the rest of the event. You can often get a good feel for this by looking at the Magician's website. Are there pictures of them performing professionally? Do the spectators look amazed? Is there video footage? Have they had any TV appearances?
Reviews from previous clients are another essential ingredient. I'm personally very proud of the hundreds of reviews on my website that I've accumulated over the years. It's essential that you're hiring somebody that people wouldn't hesitate to recommend in a heartbeat.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I got started in magic at the age of 10 after seeing a Close Up Magician perform at a family wedding. I was drawn not necessarily into the tricks he was performing... but into how the magic made people feel. As a child, seeing a bunch of adults completely amazed and baffled drew me into the art of magic. I was hooked.
From that point on I've been practising every day with the simple goal of making people happy. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do this full-time and I truly enjoy meeting people and giving them memories to last a lifetime. I've performed at tonnes of wonderful events over the years... including Weddings, Cruise Ships, Birthday Parties, Bar Mitzvah's as well as many Corporate Events all over the world.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would definitely recommend Add To Event to others as it's a great service for connecting directly to potential customers. I like the way the platform looks and it's great that you get to build your profile on the website in order to stand out. It's also awesome that if a customer tries to book me and I'm already fully booked, I can direct them to Add To Event so that they can still find a Magician for their desired date. I've picked up several bookings through Add To Event and I'm happy to say that the clients have been delighted with my performance and would like to hire me again for future events.
