Luna Marquees provide stretch marquees that are a great alternative to traditional marquees and tipis. These beautiful tents are very on-trend and look great as the venue for a festival-style wedding. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quote for a customer, we need to know the date of the event, type of event, location, approx. the number of guests to sit/stand, the surface and the rough dimensions of where the stretch tent will be set up.
If you are looking to book bell tents with us, we will need to know whether you'd like just the tents or if you would like the full glamping set up. Our tents can sleep up to 4 people. If you have an idea of the number of tents you require we can provide a discount for multiple tents.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's very likely that this is one of the only times you will book a service like this! Not everybody books weddings and events on a regular basis. Make sure you find a supplier that will thoroughly explain the options and give you a real understanding of what your wedding or event could look like with their service.
Your supplier should be an expert in their field and be able to answer any questions you may have in a friendly and professional manner.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started Luna Marquees mainly because we love outdoor weddings! We have a number of sister companies, including Tipple Bar Hire, The Rural Wedding Company and Rural Retreats which are all based around outdoor weddings and events.
After successfully running a whole host of events through our previous company, including weddings, car and bike meets, small festivals and even rare-breed dog shows, we decided to go out on our own and build a range of individual brands focusing on a rustic, outdoors and festival feel.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has been great for us! It helped us when we were initially launching our brands and got us our first bookings! If you ask anyone in the events business, they'll usually recommend using Add to Event as a supplier.
