They have gained plenty of insight into what to ask when hiring a supplier and share that below.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For an accurate quote, we would need the customers date, venue address and what they want to hire. We can then check availability and assess their requirements. We can then supply a quote with all the items they may need and suggest options they may not have considered.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always suggest checking out a company's previous work, this can be easily done by looking at customer feedback across social media. I think people sell people and confidence comes from building rapport, so if you feel your needs have been fully understood and you have been given a full explanation of costs and the hiring process, I would go on your gut instinct. You shouldn't feel like a burden to a company, and so should always feel able to ask as many questions as you need. Finally, our business is all about attention to detail. If you receive an incorrect quote or an email full of spelling mistakes, this should ring alarm bells!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We (Adam & Sarah) started our business after a series of gigs Adam was playing at had terrible sound provided. We decided we could do a better job and so we set about doing just that. We started off with hiring marquees and small stages and now we offer medium sized festival stages alongside our marquee offerings at about a 50:50 ratio. We provide all the sound ourselves which means we can take full control of the quality. We now travel all around the UK delivering stage packages for festivals as well as marquees for all events in our area. We work with many local councils and other organisations year in, year out so we come well recommended.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have used Add to Event a fair few times for stage and marquee bookings and have had a good run of bookings using this site. We have met some great customers through this site that have ended up booking us for many events in 2019. I would definitely recommend this website.
