What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, we need the anticipated number of seated guests, the event date and location. Any additional information such as a requirement for generators, toilets etc. would be useful at this stage, but not essential. We are then able to send out a fully itemised quote with our price list.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do not underestimate the cost per head of marquees as prices can vary widely depending on the type and quality. Invite your shortlist of providers for a site visit, from here you'll instinctively know the people you want to deal with. Don't let providers bamboozle you with unfamiliar terminology or panic you in to making a booking.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We've been hiring out marquees since 2003 and started with just one tent! Since then, we have built up a fantastic reputation for providing contemporary and beautiful marquees. We still get a buzz when we see the face of our clients light up when they step inside the setup marquees.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Amongst many things that we pride ourselves on, is punctuality and organisation. We turn up when we say we are going to and do what we say we're going to do. We have had a few bookings through Add to Event -
all of which have gone extremely well, with everyone happy with the service. I think that Add to Event is very appealing to potential clients and forces the suppliers to raise their game due to the increased level of competition.
