What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote we need to know the location, how many people are attending the event and how long we will be needed for. This gives us an idea of how to accommodate for the needs of the people at such event, and gives us the opportunity to offer up more opportunities for the event organiser. We do have certain games that we can play (for example one we do regularly is “shoot the apple off the man’s head”) and we can make your experience with us the best possible experience by offering you these opportunities should your event require those services.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research. We can brag that we only have 5-star reviews and no reviews are less than 5 stars - however that doesn’t mean our service would necessarily be right for you. Make sure that whichever supplier you’re using will accommodate everybody. Archery is an all inclusive sport - this can be done from a sitting position and can be adapted for anybody who may wish to participate. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The company should provide the answers without an issue - and if you’re unsure of a supplier (maybe they’re a young supplier that hasn’t been trading for long) then you may want to ask more questions to put your mind at rest. Do remember that cheapest isn’t always the best.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I first did Archery at the age of 10 when I was in the Scouts. At the age of 17 I volunteered to support the Scouts Archery team and soon qualified through Archery GB to become an instructor. This has always been something I have had a passion for - and with my creative mind and fun nature I have created an experience that is fun for anybody that participates. I wanted to plan and run a mobile archery range - the idea being that I can take this anywhere I like with me to set up. I can and have set up in people’s back gardens and have also been set up at big public events too. I have also run events including several experience days which have been very popular with those that have joined in, had many returning customers and have fine-tuned this into something that’s not just firing a bow and arrow - but something that’s thoroughly entertaining, thrilling and exciting.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We’ve had a handful of bookings through this platform. Although haven’t used this platform to it’s full potential - however everybody that has booked us through the platform has been pleased with us - one of which we have been to on 3 or 4 occasions since their first booking and is in talks about booking the next. Another was a work corporate event - I was asked if I’d dress up as Robin Hood. I mean I’ve definitely looked worse - however this made the event more entertaining for those that participated. I would recommend Add to Event for event suppliers as it is a good resource for suppliers - particularly newer suppliers.
