What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
At Puzzle Events, we like to give customers a personalised quote and not just send out generic information. For this reason, we like to gather as much information as possible. Date, number of guests, age range, specific location and space available are just a few pieces of information we look for.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check for 3 things from an activity provider. 1 - ask them for a risk assessment for the activities you are after. 2 -check that they have public liability insurance. 3 - Ask them how they run the sessions. If they are a reputable company they will have documentation and evidence for all of these items.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Puzzle Events was started in 2017 because of a range of factors. The primary of these was because I had been freelance instructing for several years and discovered that there were gaps in the market that could be filled.
I have always found that I enjoyed keeping people entertained and doing so made me feel great about myself so you could say that I turned a passion into a job.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am fairly new to Add to Event and it has boosted my bookings greatly. It generates plenty of enquiries and is easy to respond to. I am normally in the middle of a field running an event so being able to respond quickly via my mobile phone makes life much easier.
Recently, I ran a quiz night for the Crewe and District Asbestos support group. I was a little apprehensive to start with as I didn't know what to expect. However, Christine and her team made me feel very welcome and the event went brilliantly. Many customers commented on my professional approach and the fact that I overcame technical issues whilst still keeping the clients entertained.
