What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It would be most helpful for us be provided with an event date, a short description of the type of event you organising, how many guests will be attending and their ages and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. With these details we will be able to suggest age appropriate activities, a range of activities and bring exactly the right resources.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask about what experience the provider has working with young people, as you will want someone that can engage well with youngsters at different levels. For an educational event you may wish to ask what skills the provider is developing or if they're able to teach new skills. You may want to ask if they are static in what they do or are they able to move around a crowd.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Be Wild began after I qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner and spent considerable time working with young people with special educational needs. I wanted to come out from a classroom and into nature to build young people's confidence and self esteem. My teaching experience has provided me a wide range of skills to communicate effectively with young people and their families in order to create fun, educational, natural experiences.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My favourite event was working with a school from Birmingham taking their Year 6s on a residential in Derbyshire. The organiser messaged me directly - as he was interested specifically in archery, I provided him with details of my experience and gave him a couple of different options and it was as easy as that. The teacher in charge reported that the young people thoroughly enjoyed it and that some of the more reluctant learners engaged fully with the event.
