What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a quote all we need is the event's date, location, the theme or reason for the event, whether power and water are or can be provided and any dietary requirements. We can then give you some ideas about what you might want and what we can provide for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they know exactly what you want and how many, we always offer a size of bagel to suit your needs and can cater for all dietary and allergen requirements. The last thing you want is for someone to be left out because the caterer didn't know or couldn't fulfil their needs. Finally, make sure the caterer understands the circumstances of the location, the last thing you want to have to do is run extension cables or turn them away because there isn't enough power for them or they need clear access to the sky for smoke ventilation.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Established in 2018, this idea has been formed over many months and with an awful lot of setbacks, the idea finally becomes a reality.

After deciding at a young age that I wasn’t cut out for the life of a desk job or being bossed around I decided the only option was to own a business. I began to plan how and what I wanted to do, throughout primary and secondary school I loved to eat but it wasn’t until I started catering in year 8 that I discovered I loved to cook and bake even more so. This led me to a catering GCSE and before I knew it I was setting up my life to have a food business.

Of course, I then needed the basic knowledge of how a business worked, which I learnt at college doing both a Business and Use of Mathematics A-level. By now I had tailored my entire education solely on the aim of wanting to have a food business. It wasn’t until I was eating a bagel for lunch in my kitchen that the idea of homemade-filled bagels sprang to my mind.
