What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a detailed quote, we need the event date and times, a venue and whether it will be indoor or outdoor, the estimated number of guests and an explanation of what type of event they are hosting. We can then send a fully detailed quote including all information about us and what we do.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A potential client should always ask what drove us to be in this business. They will be met with a passionate answer, we love it!!! We are very fairly priced and do this not only to earn a living but because its something we enjoy doing. It helps to know if your guests have any dietary requirements because we can always cater for everyone and tailor any quote to meet those needs. I would also suggest asking what we can do for our environment, as we are totally self-sufficient, we leave very little carbon footprint and pride ourselves on this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hi, I’m Jen, Owner of JW's HolySmoke and fiancée of Wayne. We have a beautiful family consisting of two young daughters and one on the way. I am delighted to be part of the JW's HolySmoke team and am very proud of the food and service we deliver. I have worked abroad for 10 years gaining customer service skills from different restaurants from across Europe.

Hi, I'm Wayne and I am proud to be the chef behind JW's HolySmoke. I have always had a passion for food and trained in local restaurants until a back injury ended my career in 2011. After a slow recovery, I am now able to continue my career and using my experience I am able to deliver high-quality dishes fresh from the grill.

We started this business due to our combined energy and passion for both cooking and great customer service. As customers ourselves, we understand what it takes to deliver great service and wanted to be a part of the fantastic hospitality industry. It was after working for family at their food stall that we came up with the idea that we wanted a stall of our own, and we have grown from there.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As a business that is new to Add to Event, we are yet to secure a booking. We have given out 1 quote so far and are trying to build our profile to show what we can do. We are confident that the professional guys here at Add to Event can steer some clients our way and gain a working relationship that suits both us and them.
