What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide an accurate quote to the client we would need the event date, what type of occasion we are catering for, numbers of guests, venue location and a rough budget to work with. Then we can work with you to create a menu to wow your guests.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly I would look at their website, Facebook page and Instagram account and look for genuine pictures of past events they have done so you get an idea of the type of event they normally do, check out their reviews on Add to Event and also on Facebook and Google. Don't be afraid to call the caterer and ask about their background in the industry, I would be happy if I talked to someone like myself with lots of enthusiasm and knowledge to put my mind at ease that they were confident in themselves to produce a great event for yourself and the rest of your guests.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Man With A Pan to bring my 25 years work of experience working in top-level restaurants to make memorable and special events for my clients. Since we started we have been super busy and have done lots of great parties, weddings and corporate events and I love the satisfaction it gives me watching our clients and their guests enjoy what we produce and the service experience we provide.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have done lots of great events through Add to Event from a lovely Canada day BBQ for some Canadian clients right on the sea in East Wittering to lovely weddings and private parties. I would definitely recommend Add to Event to anyone that works in the hospitality section to join as it really does work and you can really grow your business and your public profile on here.
