What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote to potential customers we would like to know if the venue has electricity, if it has access for trailer units should they be required, a minimum amount of guests/customers & what your preferred menu choice would be as we cater for lots of different requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for their scores on the doors as this is something we look out for when dining in a restaurant, so why not when someone is mobile? I'd like to know where my food comes from & the conditions of the kitchen it's prepared in. Ask where the food is sourced so you know your getting quality ingredients and ask how long they have been in the trade as experience can make for good service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was born into the trade, we have been in catering forever and we have covered almost every type of cuisine possible. We have done a regular craft market in London for 15 years and have done all types of outdoor catering and have static takeaway outlets also.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Over the last 2 years we have had a few bookings from Add to Event. They have all been positive and all of our customers have been very happy with our service. The last one we did was a corporate lunch with a Caribbean theme that was outside with a BBQ, salads etc. It was windy and rainy for most of service but our staff just carried on regardless, and the customer was over the moon with the range of foods served.
