What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to be able to provide an accurate quote for providing a disco for a clients event I would need to know the location of the venue and the time from and to. also would need to know if the customer needs to add on services like Karaoke and projectors and screens,
I would need to know if the venue room is on the ground floor or not and if on higher floors if there is a lift.

I will, of course, need to know what type of event it is as weddings, for example, are a little more work than a birthday party and will affect the price.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always choose a reputable supplier that has good reviews and bear in mind that cheap providers may let you down or may not have the necessary equipment and experience. some DJs play their own choice of music too.

Always check that the potential supplier has PAT electrical testing and full public liability insurance as the venue will almost certainly need sight of these documents.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Tony's mobile disco was established in the 1970s an era of great disco music. The internet and mobile phones were not even available then.

Music was played on twin vinyl then and I progressed on to CDs as they became available.
Of course, now everything is on a computer hard disk and this means that there is a much larger music library at hand for the event.
I have always prided myself on giving the best possible service that I can. It is my passion to make every event the best I can make it. seeing people enjoying themselves gives me great pleasure and I love to drive home from every event knowing that I have given my all that is what it is all about for me.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

All the people that choose to search for a DJ on Add to Event have at least one thing in common.... they are sensible and bright people! Why trawl through the internet and spend time ringing round when the best suppliers can contact you! I have found that the people who I have been booked through Add to Event are all really great people

The last booking that I had from Add to Event was Katy and it was for her 30th party. She and her little daughter were lovely people as were the whole crowd of family and friends. The hospitality was great.
I was asked to help myself to the buffet and was thanked at the end of the night by several people.
The children were all well behaved and a credit t their parents and all joined in with party dances etc
