What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a quote, we need the event date, time, a brief explanation of what the event is about. We also need the number of guests, potential venue and the services required (whether indoors or outdoors). We can then put together a package in line with the client's requirements.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To get a good hall decorator/event planner, it is always good to see their past work, so ask for photographs. You can also read through their reviews from past clients. You should also be specific about what you are looking for and agree on a price stating the number of guests you are expecting.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Hearts Together Event Planning started out as a hobby that grew out of a passion for organising events for friends and family. Our goal is to work with the client to understand their requirements and create the event, just as they want it. The satisfaction of making it a day to remember for our clients is what drives our passion.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Recently, we decorated the hall for an Asian engagement party (Sangeet). We were in constant communication with the client to ensure that we understood her expectations for the day and worked hard to meet them. Not only did we decorate the hall, we also provided welcome cocktails and mocktails for the guests. Feedback from the client was great; she was very happy and gave us a good review.
