My Special Event can provide planning and organization to any personal party or charity event. No event is too big or too small. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
When speaking to clients about planning or organising an event I would suggest a good introduction and meeting to discuss all the client's needs and requirements via telephone or email if they couldn't meet.
Date, event type and location are important.
Each supplier is given paperwork to sign outlining what is proposed and what they agree to, a sort of contract. All clients/ suppliers are informed about what is happening every step of the way.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I was asked to give advice to a customer who was looking to hire a provider in my area I would tell them that they would need to speak to several potential companies and suppliers as they need to compare who can offer what. Speaking to them and getting to know them, gives you an indication if you would be happy working with them. Also, you would need to consider what they can offer for your budget and ideally see evidence or speak to others who have worked with them to get that personal recommendation.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My Special Event started as I have always like to organise parties and other events. I have been married twice myself and really felt that I could help other people with the information, knowledge and experience I have. During the pandemic, I have changed my business model and changed it to suit the demand now for the Events Industry and to match the "new normal" we are all facing.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had lots of people approach me for work and unfortunately due to the Covid Pandemic, none of these events has been able to go ahead. Using Add to Event successfully personally myself I have found suppliers and communicated with them and again agreed to work with them but again the Pandemic has got in my way. Let's hope this changes and my client base builds up now in 2021 and 2022.
