What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to provide a comprehensive quote we require: event date; a brief description of the goings on; the services you require and the length of time you think you'd like us to attend. It's also handy to know of any products you wish to receive after the event such as albums & prints, and if you have included their cost in your preferred budget.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We'd advise you to take the time to look at the photographer's work to see if it feels true to you and the event you're arranging. Remember, a lot of small business owners aren't seasoned sales professionals, so you could find that the most sparkly quote isn't always necessarily the right one for you. Once you find photography in the right style for you with a business you feel you can connect with, the package details can easily be sorted in a more casual setting.
Also, we're listed as Bedfordshire on the spotlight but we're actually in Northants. It's no issue as we do service Bedfordshire, but I thought I'd let you know!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Established in 2010, my name's Fiona and I opened Walker McCabe Photography because I LOVE photographing people. It's as simple as that. Emotion, success, pride, all of those moments that you hold so closely can be attained and documented to help you remember them for what they mean to you. At Walker McCabe, that's what we do for our clients and we think it's pretty cool.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We're actually pretty new around here! We've got two upcoming Weddings we've booked through Add to Event, one which is in a few months now, fingers crossed we're out of lockdown and another at the end of this year. For us, the reason we chose to be on here originally, and continue to be, is because of increased visibility digitally to the right customers. These customers want our services and can find us easily which enables us to spend our valuable office time wisely.
