What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote for any customer, I would require the type of event, the date as well as plenty of details about the booking including the number of guests, venue and any special moments which may happen that I would need to look out for and try and capture.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would strongly recommend that you speak with any photographer before you book them - especially with wedding photography. That way you will know whether they are the right person for the job and whether or not you will feel at ease with them. This is important as that way you can be sure of better photographs and a better result.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always loved my photography and, whilst on maternity leave 4 years ago, my fiance convinced me that I should turn professional - so I did and I haven't looked back! I feel that it is a complete privilege to capture special moments for anyone's event whether it be a family shoot, party or wedding. To be let into someone's important life event is an honour and I strive to do it justice every time.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I can recall photographing a joint birthday and anniversary party a couple of years ago. It was such a fun night to observe and I tried - as I always do - to merge into the background and capture the moments that everyone could look back on and enjoy. I would totally recommend Add to Event.
