What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Date and location first then in order to help provide you with an accurate quote, it would really help me if you could briefly explain what the event is, what parts you would like photographed (e.g. if it's a wedding, do you want me there from getting ready and right through to carriages? Or just up to first dance?) and for how long you need coverage.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that they have plenty of experience in photographing your type of event. Make sure that they carry backups of their equipment because gear will fail one day. Also, ask them about what they would do if their memory card failed. If your event is outdoors, then is their gear waterproof?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Suman Zaman Photography has been running for over 10 years and I mainly photograph weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. As well as capturing all the standard 'must have shots', I am always looking to capture the reactions of people interacting with one another... those moments that the host doesn't see on the day but when they look through the images afterwards.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
