What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We need to know the type of event, the number of people attending and the date. We also need to know dietary requirements (we can easily cater for vegan customers, for example, but not gluten-free) and the type of venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The pizza caterer should be knowledgeable about their product and answer your questions openly and honestly - you don't necessarily want someone who says "yes" to everything. They should be interested in providing the best service possible and be honest if they don't feel that they are the right fit. Providers should always ask you for a contact number for the day of the event, in case of any issues. Before the event, you should be clear on the cost and set-up process, have a copy of terms and conditions of the booking and feel comfortable to go back to them with any last-minute questions or requests. Above all, you should get the feeling that the provider is absolutely passionate about what they're serving.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Mark became obsessed with Neapolitan-style pizzas a couple of years ago and decided to build an amazing pizza oven in our back garden. From there, the business idea grew. He quit his office job, bought a pizza oven trailer and Margot's Pizza was born. We (Mark and his wife, Nadia), always knew that we wanted to run a sustainable business. We've worked hard to provide biodegradable and recyclable packaging, reduce our food waste and pay our staff a living wage. We're always looking for ways to improve. There are loads of initiatives we have in the pipeline. Those values are as important to us as the delicious pizzas we serve. The name Margot's Pizza came from our beautiful dog, adopted via the Wild at Heart Foundation.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We're fairly new to Add to Event, but we've been so impressed with the response so far! We have a wedding and a couple of events in the pipeline - so watch this space. We'd recommend this service to others, certainly.
