What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

So that Ember Pizza can provide a comprehensive quote for an event, ideally we need the event date, what type of event you are hosting, the approximate number of guests and a venue location. A brief description of the event is the single most useful piece of information, including whether the venue is indoors or outdoors - we can cater for both but our unique van needs to be parked outside your venue so that your guests can visit the van for pizza.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It is important that the customer understands the products and services we offer. The event organiser should ask exactly what is on offer & also to see a sample menu. Because our van and product is good quality, professional & authentic we like the customer to ask specific questions about how we work and serve. This enables us to understand the needs of the customer and offer a flexible service suitable to their needs.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Ember Pizza is a family operated mobile catering business based in Staffordshire and is run by father and son partnership David and Lewis.
Lewis is a trained and qualified chef, he has worked extensively in a busy, high quality restaurant regularly catering for large parties of up to 150 covers. Lewis has also worked in Europe as chef catering for ever changing and diverse groups of clients in the travel industry.
David has a diverse background in the public sector with over 30 years’ experience including planning and implementation of projects locally and nationally.
Born out of a love of all things food, together with their skills and experience, the Ember Pizza business was started. A van was sourced and has been converted into a unique wood fired pizza oven.

Ember Pizza has had lots of enquiries and bookings through Add to Event. The platform is well thought out, not complicated and good value.
