Based in Swindon, Falvo Artisan Pizza Co. serves Neapolitian wood fired pizzas from a vintage 978 Renault Estaffette van. They provide catering for a wide range of events, from private parties to corporate events in Swindon and surrounding areas.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would need dates and times of the event to ensure we are free, would need to know how many guests or the amount of pizza they would like and when we have all this we can make a bespoke package.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask us the process of making the dough, we have to take so much into account of how much yeast and proofing time it takes to get our fresh dough ready. We use wood which we import from Italy to get a real authentic Italian pizza.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My brother and I are Italian and food is always a big part of our lives. Our mum is a great cook, as well as my grandmother, but it started when our Uncle Tony who was a pizzaiolo in Italy, then come over to England and opened up an Italian restaurant. We have always been close and fascinated with wood fired ovens and to see the art of baking a pizza to perfection. Sadly my uncle passed away a few years ago, and have made his face our logo to in remembrance of a great uncle, who we will never forget and carry on his legacy of great tasting pizza!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a great response from bookings. Easy interface and plenty of people asking for our type of work. One that stands out was in Witney, where we not only made pizza but also made platters of meats and our wood-fired breads. Everyone enjoyed themselves and received great feedback.
