What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design of what we will be doing for the client.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the chef about the product they are offering, I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone who didn't know much about hair so why eat food from someone who knows little about the food they are offering. Ask the caterer about their menu and why they are serving what they are serving, after all we are chefs so that should be our main goal. Also, find out about their equipment as better equipment will mean they can make better tasting drinks more efficiently.

Our chef’s in charge, Paul and John, are highly experienced chefs who have worked in fine dining restaurants and hotels for over 30 years, producing top class dishes from various cuisines. Chef Paul has owned successful restaurants in the North West and Chef John has competed in national chef competitions, they have formed Thyme2Dine to bring the very best in quality with competitive pricing and outstanding service within the sector.
