What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to provide an accurate pricing guide for staff where required it would be highly advantageous if the hours required are set hours, examples of bad time scales are 4-6 or any other time scale that has variables, we understand that situations are dynamic and deployments may change depending on expected numbers.
An explanation of the job; a detailed breakdown of services required, whether or not any variables need to be taken into account, eg guest numbers expected/availability of alcohol/services required as well as details of the venue itself from this information we can put together a more accurate service tailored to your requirements.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We would advise anybody looking to hire security staff to familiarise themselves with industry standards and to familiarise themselves with as much of the industry as you can. Each security guard is trained to deal with conflict management, and under new legislation all security guards badged after 2022 will have an up to date first aid certificate to help them be as adaptable as possible to any potential issues. We would highly recommend that you specifically request the sort of security you require, if you require door staff, known previously as bouncers, these individuals have a high level of experience with dealing with intoxicated individuals, or more customer service-based event staff. All of our staff at Asgard are trained to a high standard by the governing body of the security industry and their supporting qualifying bodies.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Asgard security and k9 unit were founded on the belief that all people deserve safety, whether they be the patrons or the staff, we have prided ourselves on several years of successful deployments to large-scale festivals as well as local events and smaller-scale festivals. We pride ourselves on helping to break the stigma surrounding security staff that they are thugs, through our thorough vetting process we make sure all of our staff pass appropriate employability and competency tests to assure we have the highest standard of guards we can deploy to help people feel safe and secure.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have not been on Add to Event for long, in that short time we have had several offers of work come through, and the clients we are being offered are appropriate to the nature of the services we offer. Add to Event is going to become one of our main websites to use to get work.
