Based in Tetbury near Swindon, Tailor-Made Catering provide catering and hospitality services for the Cotswold's and the South West. With over 16 years of experience, they service a variety of events from parties to weddings.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, potential venue and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable menu and quote. An approximate budget is also helpful. We can provide as much or as little input to the whole event as you like. Recently, I planned a whole party - from sourcing the lights, to arranging a band and furniture, as well as of course providing the catering. This is an event planning service that we offer free of charge.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be clear in everything that you want - your likes and dislikes, particular visions you have for the event and how you would like it to go. Event planners can help you with the whole flow and feeling of the event and make sure it goes well from beginning to end.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Tailor-Made was born out of a love for catering and hospitality. Having spent 15 years managing restaurants, cooking and working for other people, I decided it was time to go it alone! We love our job and love working with our clients to make their parties absolutely perfect!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had lots of bookings through Add to Event. The platform is fantastic to use for both suppliers and customers, and provides an easy route of introduction and communication. One event which sticks in our mind is a 50th party that we catered for. From the first meeting, we found we could help in lots of other ways- using our expertise and contacts to also supply a singer, lighting and furniture. We also helped with how the house should be set out and with the staff for the party. We loved this experience.
