Here they share some really useful questions to ask and details to check when looking to hire a similar provider for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Quite simply the more information the better! The date of the event is first and foremost, then, whether it is indoors or outdoors. How many guests are you expecting and what would you like to provide for each of them? Would you be looking to pay for the guest's drinks or have them buy their own? Or perhaps a mixture of the two? Where would you ideally like us to be set up?
The more information you provide just means that our quote can be perfectly tailored to your needs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would first ask about their experience and check out any reviews they have on Add to Event. Photos and descriptions are great but they can't replace the in-person experience. I would also ask where they source their products and how they serve them - do they put thought in and search for the best products or do they provide cheap alternatives? I would check how many staff they plan to use at your event, and also whether there are any hidden costs to be added to the quote - good suppliers have nothing to hide and will be upfront. Finally, if the presentation is important to you, ask questions about the condition of the mobile bar. If hiring a van bar or horsebox it may look great in images but disappointingly shabby in the flesh - a big disappointment on your big day!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Piccolo Prosecco started in 2017 through a desire to combine a love of good prosecco and a desire to travel the country seeing new places and meeting new people. No two days are the same as we will be at a beautiful wedding one day, then a large music festival the next. We take great pride in providing a service that beats expectations, both in terms of our lovely van and set up and how we interact with our customers.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had several memorable bookings through Add to Event. Perhaps the one that sticks in the mind the most was a large corporate World Cup party in 2018. Taking place as England thrashed Panama 6-1, the event took place in the grounds of a large country estate and was complete with multiple food vendors, other bars, a music stage, big screen, and fireworks that went off each time England scored. We served over 1000 drinks that day and made some excellent contacts. Thanks to Add to Event we have attended several beautiful weddings, and count the likes of ASOS and Jaguar among our clients.
