The Fabulous Fizz Bar provides a Citroen HY Van converted into a super cool mobile bar covering Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and surrounding areas. They specialise in serving fizz and cocktails as well as a fully stocked bar for private events and weddings.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To enable us to provide a client with a comprehensive quote we would need to know the location, date, the number of expected guests and the type of celebration it is - for example, whether it is a wedding, birthday party or christening. We offer a full bar service with a bespoke bar menu so it's good for us to know the types of drinks that a client would like so that we can create a tailored drinks menu just for them.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask to see a full drink menu along with prices so that you can check that a drinks provider is offering the types of drinks that you want at your celebration. Ask the provider what is included within the booking fee and whether there are any additional charges. I would also ask to see a copy of the provider's public liability insurance and food hygiene rating along with customer testimonials.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Having stumbled across a Citroen Hy Van in the grounds of a rather grand stately house I fell in love with the look and quirkiness of these very cool vintage French vans. Having already set up and run a successful hospitality business within the wedding industry for over 10 years, I was ready to branch out with something new. Having recognised the increase in popularity of outdoor weddings and events I spotted an opportunity for a mobile bar which and for me just had to be a Citroen Hy Van. The response has been fantastic as the bar looks fantastic and I pride myself in the level of service that we offer both before and during any events that we work.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've had lots of bookings through the Add to Event platform all of which have been fantastic. The most memorable for me would be a wedding celebration that we worked on in August 2021, the couple had changed their plans many times due to Covid and they actually decided to marry the weekend before and then have us at a big celebration at the bride's parents home. The couple had chosen their favourite cocktails, along with local ales for to serve to them and their guests. Our freshly made cocktails were a big hit - in fact we have never served so many Passion Fruit Martinis at an event! We've had some fantastic reviews from the event and we have been assured that they are looking for an excuse to book us again in the very near future! When speaking to suppliers especially those that are just starting out I recommend Add to Event to them as a great way to get targeted, quality and relevant leads to help them build their businesses.
