They cater for a variety of events from private parties, festivals, to larger corporate venues and are happy to tailor the bar to suit the needs of clients and offer something unique to any event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I have a mobile bar business & no two events are the same. So, in order for us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, I need to know the date of the event, the nature of the event & where it is hosted, an idea of how many attending, what drinks they are wanting on the day & whether I need to apply for a TENS. I can then tailor make a package to suit the needs of the customer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to do some research on that provider. Look at reviews & look on their social media sites, for photos & feedback. I honestly believe word of mouth goes a long way, so ask around to see if anyone they know has used the provider before & ask for honest feedback. Ask the provider for their drinks lists & a background story, as to when they started their business, who they are & where they have served before.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My partner & I have worked in hospitality for over 25 years. It's what we do best! We wanted to create a quirky mobile bar, to bring joy & happiness to people with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand. The concept of Bar Toast was over a decade ago, but fate had another idea, a baby! So, now here we are, with our quirky little Piaggio Ape tuk tuk, Gino, who impresses everyone, everywhere we go.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I absolutely love using Add to Event & have received lots of bookings from this platform. The booking requests are of high quality & relevant to my services. I love receiving festival & charity event requests, as you meet lots of people from different walks of life. I especially loved serving at the Friarwood Festival in Pontefract. The request from Add to Event was easy to manage & then we secured the date & requirements with the organiser with ease. They even left us positive feedback. On the day, rain was pouring down, but it didn't dampen the spirits of the festival goers. Everyone embraced the day with a soggy smile & a fresh sparkling prosecco cocktail in hand from Bar Toast. I always recommend Add to Event, to anyone who asks me to do an event I can't do or to anyone who asks me if I know of any suppliers that can attend an event from a different background.
