What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to our customer, we would ask for a list of finishes they would like to hire from our extensive range detailed and pictured on our website. And ideally, we would require their venue address and event date to check the availability.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
With our ideas and experience, we have helped transform venues to match our customer's specific visions, adding sometimes just the smallest of touches to make that big difference. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Fairytale Finishes started with just two Royal Mail Post Boxes and an Easel. We were lucky enough to have had a couple of venue contacts from a previous job, which really helped in the beginning. But we were over the moon to see these unusual finishes (at the time) be so very popular. From there we grew every year, adding giant Throne Chairs, LED Trees, Sweet Carts & Wheel, and much much more. Our 5ft LOVE letters were our huge hit 3yrs ago, and so we now stock the whole 5ft alphabet, with a MR & MRS Topper sign option for surnames and giant illuminated hearts to go alongside initials? Everything we made we ploughed back into a business we are now so proud of. Six years later we have built up a fantastic reputation with all our venues, and have been asked to be placed on their recommendation lists they send to their customers. And our constant 5star reviews on Facebook is the hugest reward for us.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event is a great platform for getting your business name into the hands of an event organiser, and for some, it is their first event they are holding. We are fairly new to the site, so our booking dates are upcoming, but we were lucky enough to secure an event for later this year, for a couple looking for 5ft letters for their wedding. We were able to offer them their surname, along with our smaller MR & MRS letters. And also a Sweet Cart, filled with sweet favourites, bags and scoops, for a PR event at a launch party. It is so simple to use and do recommend them to everyone.
