What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For our company to be able to provide a comprehensive quote, we require the location of the venue, date of the event, number of attendees, knowledge of power available, if they have a theme and the type of event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask whether they charge a transport charge. Do they provide servers? What service do they provide (i.e table decorations)? Are their items PAT tested? Do they have PI insurance? What makes them different to their competitors? Are they enhanced DBS checked and certified?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business in October 2016 as an online gift and retro sweet store. I was asked shortly after if I would be able to do a Candy Buffet for a children's party and found this to be very enjoyable. I then decided that I would look at Popcorn machine and Candy Floss machine hire to give a full service to our customers. I purchased these at the beginning of January 2017 and we have a bulging diary of events booked for the whole of this year. We have now completed several parties and we love entertaining our clients.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had several bookings through Add to Event but they are for future dates. I have a booking for Norwich City Football Club for Jamie's game in May which I am looking forward to tremendously. This came as a direct request through Add to Event and if it was not for me being a member of this site I would not have received the request. I have five bookings now through the site and have found it very easy to use and a cost effective way of marketing my business.
