What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

At Bernard's Kitchen, we are always excited to provide quotes for potential customers. It is helpful for us to know the event date, the style and size of the event, the location, number of guests and dietary requirements. We also pay particular attention to any dietary requirements and are happy to tailor our service to meet our customer's needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would suggest that a potential client would be interested in the provider's knowledge of their product and also read any reviews that the provider has received in the past, previous customers are the best source of real information about any catering company, especially with regard to the quality of food, customer service and reliability. We would also recommend that customers compare prices to ensure they are getting the best value for their money.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started our mobile catering business in March 2019 because we love what we do. Our passion for creating our innovative product and extensive research into our style of catering has become a way of life and we wouldn't want to do anything else. Nothing gives us greater pleasure than making and serving delicious plant-based food for everyone to enjoy. We receive great compliments from our clients and this gives us enormous happiness, spurring us on to try new recipes and share them with our wonderful customers. The world is changing and we are so grateful that Bernard's Kitchen can be a part of the future of food.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Through Add to Event, we have received many bookings from a wide variety of clients, from Corporate clients to Yoga studios, University bookings to Artist Studios. The last year has been fascinating and rewarding and we very much look forward to our future relationship with this platform. So many positive bookings! We were particularly well-received at Southampton University where we were booked to provide vegan meals for 250 students. There were several caterers there, serving a total of 1000 students and tutors. All the tutors came to our stall to eat, which was brilliant! They loved our food as it was tasty, healthy and ethical and it gave us great pride to serve them. We were recommended Add to Event by another food vendor earlier this year and it was a brilliant piece of advice, as we now have an excellent avenue within which we can connect with potential new clients. We frequently recommend Add to Event to other providers in our field.
