What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would love to hear as many details about your event as possible, but the main things for us are the date and location- since most of our bookings are weddings, which generally get booked way in advance, the more notice we have, the better. We offer a number of full-day packages so the next thing we'll need to know is whether you're looking for photography, videography or both!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's important to find a photographer who has not only a style that you love, but also a way of working which fits with the kind of atmosphere you'll be after on the day- for example, it's no good aiming for a relaxed festival feel at your woodland wedding but then hiring a super traditional, shouty wedding photographer! Get a feel for the personality of the person you're hiring and make sure you gel.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Me and my brother Danny work as a two-man photography and videography team specialising in weddings and events. We both played in bands as teenagers and got into photography by taking photos of each other on stage. After working separately for a few years, in 2018 we launched Furness Digital Photography Ltd. together and started shooting events, moving to predominantly weddings from 2019. We wanted to bring a modern, creative approach to wedding photography, drawing from our experience on both sides of the camera.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We only discovered Add To Event last year, and took our first booking shortly after. Since weddings are typically booked so far in advance, we haven't actually completed any of our bookings yet- they're all for this year and we can't wait to get our first review! The booking process has been great and communicating with clients is very easy, I've already recommended the site to peers for that reason.
