What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Distance to the venue. Estimated number of guests. How will they be paying? This is the minimum that is required to give an estimated quote then if they are interested we can have further discussions to make sure they are getting exactly what they would like.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have a firm idea of what you would like and how you would like the product presented. Ask about the product that is being provided and make sure you are confident that they know what they are offering especially if you are asking for special dietary requirements. Give as much information as you can, numbers, power, water, any problems getting into the venue etc. Make sure that the provider has insurances in place and equipment is pat tested.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Cotswoldkiwi was a vision that I had for years. I have always been interested in food of all different varieties. A few years ago I did a one day Gelato day and fell in love with the product and from that day planned how I could incorporate this in my life. I love the Citroen Hy vans and when the opportunity arose I had a van renovated and a Gelato freezer installed. Barnabe and Cotswoldkiwi was born! Initially, I would have liked to produce the gelato myself and to this day I have not given up on that idea however at this moment in time I will settle for the Gelato that I have sourced which is the best quality product, and I have certainly been trying a fair few.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had lots of queries about the service I provide and have quoted for around five at this time as I am new to this site. I am very happy to say that I have been chosen for an event in June 2020 and was very excited to have been selected.
