What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date and a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting. Also, the estimated number of guests and potential venue, whether it is an indoor or outdoor event. From these details, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable menu, equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the caterer about the products that they are offering and make sure they know what they are talking about. Having been involved with catering for over 20 years, there are a lot of companies who 'talk the talk' but cannot provide the service that is required. Make sure that what is being offered suits your requirements, after all, it is what 'you' want for your special occasion.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Shore Enterprises Limited evolved as a natural progression from our already established catering businesses. For many years we have provided catering for our own family and friends hosting events. It soon became apparent that our services and amazing food were in demand, which is why we have expanded our business to cover lots of different events. We wanted to cover everything from a small, informal dinner party to a large formal wedding. Nothing is too large or too small for us. We are here to help make your event even more special.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only recently joined Add to Event, but have found them to be very helpful and professional. We already have a number of events booked through them with new requests coming to us on a daily basis. We are looking forward to working with them for a long time to come and recommend them to other people.
