What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for me to provide you with a comprehensive photography quote, please let me know the event date, location and how many hours of photography coverage.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask a photographer to provide an example gallery from a similar event that they've photographed. For example, if you're getting married at a certain wedding venue, ask the photographer if they have captured a wedding at this venue before. If they have, request to view a website gallery. If not, request to view a gallery from a similar wedding venue they have photographed. You will then get to see the style/quality of the images they capture, how they curate and tell the story and useful to see what their wedding gallery looks like.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Photographing people was a hobby of mine until I captured a couple of friends' weddings back in 2012 and that changed everything. The feedback I received was fantastic and so I created a wedding photography website in the hope I could photograph a few more weddings. The enquiries came in and 10 years later I've photographed over 300 weddings. I love capturing weddings, they're such a unique celebration and through my images I get to tell the story. Living in Cornwall as a wedding photographer is the best, with so many fantastic wedding venues, stunning beaches, coastline & countryside…it's these landscapes that inspire my photography.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've received many wedding photography enquiries from Add to Event and one of the most memorable bookings was a festival wedding that I captured in Bristol. With a large tipi marquee in their garden and joined by 200 guests, it had a real festival vibe to it. Amazing food, drink, live music and even fire poi, it was a really fun wedding to capture and tell the story.
