What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote I need to know the event date, the venue location and the type of ceremony I will be creating. Additionally, I like to know whether they wish to include additional mini rituals in their ceremony. If the ceremony is to be held outdoors, I will also need to know what their contingency plans are in the event of rain.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly do your homework and check their website and social media sites. These should offer you a clear picture of their style and help you decide whether they are the right Celebrant for you.
Do they have any reviews, and are these all 5*? Their website and social media should include those to make it easy for you. Once you are happy that they could well be a good fit for you, check their availability and arrange a meeting, either face to face where possible, or online. And when you meet, consider whether they will be someone you will be happy working with over the months until your wedding.
All wedding celebrants are lovely, it's just a matter of choosing the right sort of lovely for you.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have a deep passion for exceeding expectations and giving my couples more than they hoped for. I started my business because I wanted to turn wedding ceremonies into the personal, fun and magical experience they should be on what is the most important and special day of your lives.
I have over 20 years in hospitality, events and weddings and have experienced every aspect of planning a wedding. This combined with 2 years working for the Registration Service as a Registrar Ceremony Officer, conducting over 80 weddings, has given me the training for and experience of conducting a wedding ceremony.
By combining all my training and knowledge and experience I am able to offer you a complete and holistic guide to creating the wedding of your dreams, especially the wedding ceremony that will start your special day.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am a new member of the Add to Event family and therefore do not, yet, have an event to tell you about. But watch this space, I'll be happy to tell you all about it when I have done my first one.
