What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The main things I need to know when supplying a quote are the date, location, type of ceremony they are planning. I tend to have a flat fee for Weddings / Vow Renewals / Celebration of life etc. The only things that tend to affect costs are location ( if this is outside my standard travel distance ) or if there are additional elements like visual tributes.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would always recommend picking up the phone and speaking to the Celebrant you are looking to hire. You should always pick someone that suits your style, and sometimes that is hard to understand via emails / text. Listen out for enthusiasm in your name, interest in your as a couple, and always ask for ideas and thoughts to get a view on the type of service they offer.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I had some devastating personal circumstances back in 2020. And it led me to reassess what I wanted to do as a career. So here I am, doing a job that I absolutely love doing. I get to meet so many lovely people along the way. It's really the best job in the world.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Its often quite hard to find the time to proactively look for bookings. This platform sends genuine bookings to me, most are all happy to discuss their requirements, and you feel that they are real people unlike some of the other platforms. I've had some lovely bookings from this platform, some who have grown into friends over time. Very grateful
