What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
While I do have packages available, I would need to know as much as possible to tailor a package most appropriate to your needs. So do let me know the number of guests, your venue (or venues if preparation, ceremony and reception are in different places). How much coverage you'd require (My aim is full day preparation to party coverage) and if you'd like printed albums or wall art when done. Then I can prepare a quote specific to your needs or recommend the most appropriate package that suits.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing with a wedding photographer... do you get on with them!
Even they produce stunning images, if their attitude stinks you won't want them near you, they won't get the images of you being happy and you won't enjoy your day. My advice, speak to them, in person or a video call... I offer all clients a no-obligation consultation before booking to ensure the right choice is being made.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I am sure I was born with a camera in my hand. Been covering events since the 1990s and qualified in the darkroom developing my own films... but the world went digital and I lost touch. However, after being stunned with the work of other photographers I came back with a vengeance and there is nothing more challenging to my creativity than a wedding as it covers all disciplines and specials of photography.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've been selected as a supplier a number of times and the common factor I've found for my clients on Add to Event is the demand for quality. It's taken me from the usual wedding venues to other great locations and I have met some great couples who are still friends after their big day.
