About Amvale Medical Transport Ltd
Professional Medical Services for Events:
We provide professional, reliable medical services for events, helping organisers protect their guests, staff, participants and performers while ensuring appropriate medical support is available when it matters most.
Our event medical provision can be tailored to the size, nature and risk profile of each event. From smaller community and corporate events through to larger public gatherings, sporting events, festivals and specialist events, we work with organisers to put the right level of medical cover in place.
Why Choose Us?
Choosing the right medical provider is an important part of delivering a safe and professionally managed event. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to understand your event, its audience, activities and potential risks so that the medical provision is appropriate, proportionate and carefully planned.
Our focus is on providing a professional and dependable service from the initial planning stages through to the event itself. We work closely with event organisers and other stakeholders to ensure medical arrangements integrate effectively with the wider event plan.
On site, our medical teams provide prompt assessment, treatment and appropriate escalation when required. Effective medical provision can help manage incidents at the event, provide reassurance to those attending and ensure that patients who require further medical care are identified and escalated appropriately.
A Medical Partner You Can Depend On:
When you choose us, you're choosing more than medical cover on the day. You're choosing a team committed to preparation, communication, professionalism and high standards of patient care.
We understand that every event is different, which is why our service is built around your requirements. Whether you need support planning your medical provision or a complete event medical solution, we'll work with you to help make your event safer and give you confidence that your medical arrangements are in capable hands.

Our Story
We are proud to announce that as of 21st November 2025, Amvale Ltd, Amvale Medical Transport Ltd, and Amvale Scotland Ltd have officially transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) under Amvale Trustees Ltd. This exciting development reflects our commitment to our people and our future. By placing ownership into the hands of our employees, we are ensuring long-term stability, continuity of service, and a shared responsibility for the continued success of our organisation. It also recognises the invaluable contributions of our team across the UK, giving them a direct stake in the company’s journey and achievements.
As an EOT, we remain firmly focused on delivering outstanding medical and transport services while fostering a workplace culture built on collaboration, pride, and purpose. Our clients and partners can continue to expect the same trusted service, now powered by a stronger, more united workforce. Together, we’re building a future where every journey we take – with our patients, clients, and each other – is one we share in ownership and vision.
Amvale Ltd began its journey in 1985 when our CEO, Mike Godfrey, at just 30 years old, identified a critical gap in local transport services – particularly for children with disabilities. At the time, support in this area was limited and investment was virtually non-existent. Driven by a desire to make a difference and a vision for accessible, inclusive transport, Amvale took its first steps into specialised medical and community-focused transport solutions. It soon became clear that a niche market had been identified. As the company grew, Amvale established its dedicated Special Needs Transport Division, headquartered in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, and expanded further with an additional base in Grimsby to support the ever-growing need for this service across Doncaster and Lincolnshire as a whole.
Thanks to our growing reputation across Lincolnshire and Humberside, local hospitals soon approached us to provide Patient Transport Services (PTS). In response, Mike decided to invest further in this area, and in 1998, Amvale Medical Transport Ltd was formed. It was not long before we became heavily involved in both PTS and Transport for Transplant services, and we are proud to continue providing these vital services to NHS Trusts and hospitals both locally and nationwide.
Over the years, Amvale Medical Transport Ltd has expanded into other areas, including Paramedic Ambulances, Emergency Department Staffing Support, Mental Health Transport, Secure Transport, Patient Bed Watch services, Emergency Medical Teams, Hospital Call Control, Medical Training, Medical Flights, medical provision at entertainment events, coach services, and various motor trade activities. We now celebrate more than 25 years of independent business success, and in December 2019, Amvale Medical Transport Ltd further expanded its operations by establishing another ambulance station in Glasgow, trading as Amvale Scotland Ltd.
From the outset, our services have been built on one core principle: “Safety First”. At a time when vehicle safety standards were still in development, Amvale led the way with specially adapted vehicles designed to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities. These vehicles featured enhanced seatbelt systems, secure wheelchair anchoring, and a strong focus on reliability. Our commitment to innovation led to the creation of the “Assurance Safety Bus” – a purpose-built transport solution that set new benchmarks for safety and care. The vehicle was later adopted for direct use by the local council, a testament to its forward-thinking design. Although vehicle safety laws have evolved significantly since then, we take pride in knowing that Amvale played a role in influencing those improvements during a pivotal time in accessible transport.
