Specialising in Balearic-inspired, soulful and refined chill-out sound, we create relaxed yet engaging environments tailored to the character of each venue.
Services include live DJ sets, Bank Holiday and seasonal event programming, terrace and garden sessions, private party entertainment, and structured atmosphere consultations for hospitality businesses. Our approach is subtle, stylish and commercially aware — enhancing guest enjoyment while supporting venue performance.

Our Story
For the past five years, I’ve been DJ’ing online through Blueboy’s Café, building a Balearic-inspired brand focused on curated sound and thoughtful progression. What began as internet radio evolved into a deeper understanding of how music shapes atmosphere and guest behaviour.
Last year, I brought that approach into the real world with a sunset session at The Rose & Crown in Rickmansworth. The focus wasn’t volume — it was flow. As the evening unfolded, the sound moved naturally with the space, enhancing the mood without overpowering it.
That’s the ethos behind Blueboy’s Café: intentional atmosphere, refined sound, and music that complements a venue rather than competes with it.
Last year, I brought that approach into the real world with a sunset session at The Rose & Crown in Rickmansworth. The focus wasn’t volume — it was flow. As the evening unfolded, the sound moved naturally with the space, enhancing the mood without overpowering it.

Experience
I began DJ’ing in Cambridge in the 1980s, building early residencies at local venues and developing a deep understanding of crowd flow and atmosphere. During that time, I held a residency at a popular racing pub in Newmarket and ran Sunday Jazz-Funk sessions at Cambridge United Football Club — learning how to read a room and shape energy across different audiences.
In the 1990s, I continued performing locally, including New Year’s Eve events at my local pub in Horseheath. These years — long before internet streaming — grounded my approach in real-world hospitality: understanding timing, progression and how music influences behaviour in physical spaces.
Today, that experience blends with five years of online broadcasting through Blueboy’s Café, combining traditional DJ foundations with modern, structured atmosphere design.
