What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the name of the potential venue and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, there are many providers who do this part-time. When booking, make sure that this provider is reliable and is in the industry full time. Full time industry members will always give you a better service and will never let you down! Make sure that the provider you choose has Public Liability Insurance (PLI). As many venues won't allow a DJ in the door without showing a PLI certificate!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always loved the entertainment industry and most of all entertaining people! I set up my company KW Events to share my love and passion, and to make their events truly special. I love what I do, and I like to think that shows in each and every job that I do.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I recently did a job for Konami which I use to love as a kid! Add to Event allows me to pick and choose which events are right for me. It is very simple and straight forward and easy to navigate!
