Boston & Hawthorne is an independent, alternative and craft-led events bar company based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. We provide complete full-service event bars and dedicated cocktail bars, combining freshly made cocktails with premium spirits, wines and draught beers. From 100-person Christmas parties and weddings to festivals with attendances of 20,000, we build the bar setup, drinks menu and service around your event. We're not your typical mobile bar. Our approach combines the quality and personality of a great independent bar with the equipment, experience and capacity needed for professional event service. CHRISTMAS, CORPORATE & INDOOR EVENTS We're currently booking Christmas and corporate events, with full-service bar packages from £25 per person based on 100 guests. We have 17 metres of modular palletwood bars, allowing us to create anything from a single bar to multiple service points for indoor events of up to 1,000 guests. We can provide the complete operation – bars, drinks, staff, equipment and glassware – with menus tailored to your event. WEDDINGS & PRIVATE EVENTS For weddings and private events, choose from our modular palletwood bars or our converted 8-metre 1970s Rice horse trailer bar. For marquees, tipis and outdoor events, our premium reusable PET glassware provides the look of traditional glassware without the risk of smashed glass. Compostable alternatives are also available. FESTIVALS & LARGE-SCALE EVENTS Our festival infrastructure includes two 7.5m Dibond-fronted festival bars, a 3m gazebo bar, our 8m horse trailer and 17m of modular palletwood bars, allowing us to create multiple service points around your event. The business is built on the pillars of building something sustainable for Josh and Georgia's young family, Josh's enthusiasm for exceptionally made drinks, homemade elements and a 100% fresh cocktail provision in an industry swamped with low quality premix cocktails done badly. 10 years ago, maybe they would have opened something in bricks and mortar - in post covid uncertainty, 2024 was the year they decided to build their horsebox cocktail bar from scratch. The business has scaled sustainably since then built on those pillars. Longevity, quality and investment in the best equipment, staff and practices above all else.

Our Managing Director Josh heads up all our operations and Creative Director Georgia heads up all of our look and feel. With 16 years in the industry across Michelin BiB, multiple AA Rosettes, private members club Soho Farmhouse, General Manager for, high volume, high street bar and restaurant operators - Josh's experience has been milled down and honed in a premium bar offering and craft-led seasonal cocktail menus, focusing primarily on a 100% fresh cocktail offering at scale and customer engagement that change with the event scope and by the client. Creative Director Georgia has built herself her own art brand, her focus sits on how the operational needs of the business translate into how aesthetics can make you feel. Hand painting all our festival frontage, designing menus, curating the look and feel of our units, picking materials,, lighting and textures, this all ensures the feel of the business matches the quality of the drinks on offer.

We're happy to work all over the UK for the right event, but you'll usually find us working a 3 hour radius from our base in LS24 North Yorkshire. We work with various types of clients - private, corporate, charities, councils, festival and event organisers. We work on lots of types of events, from private weddings, parties and birthdays to corporate events, marketing activations, public festivals and events. During the summer you may see us out on the road at music festivals and contract work with brands like Adventure Cinema, whilst in the winter you can find us working a lot more private indoor events with our pallet wood bars and out with our horse trailer serving mulled wine, boozy hot chocolates and Irish coffees at markets and Christmas events.

Boston and Hawthorne is a member of NCASS (The Nationwide Caterers Association). We work with Festivals like Rock n Roll Circus as their exclusive cocktail vendor, are the main bar vendor for St Annes Carnival and Natfest (an independent charity festival near Loughborough in aid of LOROS Hospice) and on the circuit with Adventure Cinema across the country as one of their prefered bar vendors.
