I'm Gavin, the DJ behind Chosen Sounds. I take a personal approach to every event and will take the time to understand what matters to you, the music you love and how I can help you make the most of your event.

The conversations we have before your event aren't just part of the planning process; they shape how I approach the music itself. What you've told me about your tastes, your guests and what matters to you helps guide my choices behind the DJ booth, alongside my judgement of what works in the room.

Planning Your Music

You might have a detailed playlist, a few favourite songs or artists you'd like included, or simply a rough idea of the kind of night you want. Whatever you've got in mind, I'll listen, ask questions and help turn your ideas into a music plan that works for you and your guests.

The plan gives me a clear direction, and I'll work with the music we've agreed to get the order and pace right for your event, making adjustments as needed.

Planning Your Event

I'll be available throughout the planning process to answer questions, talk through ideas and help with any details you're unsure about.

We can keep in touch by email or WhatsApp, and use shared Spotify playlists to exchange music ideas and songs you'd like included.

Sound and Lighting

I'll discuss your venue, guest numbers and plans for the event to put together the right setup for the space and occasion.

I mix live using a DJ controller and specialist DJ software running on my laptop. My setup includes sound systems, a customisable DJ booth, dance-floor lighting, uplighting, projection effects and haze.
