Hi, I’m Gavin from Chosen Sounds. I provide bespoke mobile DJ services for weddings, parties, corporate and charity events across Essex and surrounding counties. The focus is simple: the music should feel like your event, not mine. You can give me a full playlist if you’ve already got everything mapped out, or just a rough idea — a few artists, genres or even just a vibe — and I’ll build everything from there. About Me I’m an open-format DJ, mixing across genres and decades throughout the night. That flexibility means I can adapt the music to suit the people in the room, whether your event leans chart, dance, indie, rock, soul, R&B or something completely different. I’ll work with you beforehand to shape the music for the evening, but it’s never approached as a fixed setlist. It gives me a strong base to work from while still leaving room to take requests and lean further into the styles that are getting the best reaction from your guests. Based in Colchester, I cover Essex and surrounding counties. I pride myself on excellent service and brilliant delivery from the first message through to the last track of the night.

Sound & setup I use a high-quality Alto sound system, scaled to suit your space. For smaller rooms I’ll run a compact PA setup, and for larger venues I bring in a sub for extra depth and impact. This comfortably covers up to around 200 guests with plenty of headroom.

Lighting & atmosphere For lighting, I use a compact all-in-one Chauvet system which works brilliantly in tighter spaces while still creating a full visual effect. For larger events and weddings, I can expand this with: Feature uplighting to transform the room Wash lighting for full-room colour and movement A gobo projector for custom (extra charge above quote) or stock designs on walls, floors or ceilings A haze machine (venue-friendly smoke)

If your venue is big enough I will include all of my equipment with no add on charges, my quote is my total price.
