About DJ Smurf

I have only just joined this site in Jan 26 so don't have much feedback here yet, but can provide links to other sites if required.

With over 25 years of experience as a DJ and karaoke host, both in the UK and on the Costa del Sol, I can read a room well, making sure that your night is one that your friends and family will remember.

I have been a resident DJ at various biker pubs and rock/alternative music is my speciality, but I like all kinds of music and I am happy to take requests.

I have done all kinds of events from christenings to funerals and everything in between, including large festivals, weddings and corporate events.

My prices are very reasonable, I do this because I love music, not for the money. My goal is for you and your guests to have a great time.

Our Story

I have been a DJ for over 25 years. I have worked as a resident DJ at city center pubs, local village pubs and biker pubs. I have done all kinds of events from christenings to retirement events and everything in between. I have worked both in the UK and on the Costa del Sol I enjoy all kinds of music from heavy metal to trance. I have spent a lot of time and money making my set up sound and look great. I have a lot of equipment and can tailor the rig to your requirements. I can read a room, include your playlists and take requests. It's YOUR night, let me make it one to remember!

Our Team

Me and my partner, DJ Cooper, have both been in the industry for decades. We sometimes work individually and sometimes work as a team.

Experience

I have worked at motorcycle rallies, country pubs, high end hotels, busy karaoke bars in tourist areas of Spain. Nothing phases me. I can entertain anyone from ages 8 to 80.

I have spoken to Martin about this rating and he has said he made a mistake on the rating, but is unable to change it and he did say he would recommend me to other people, which is a huge relief because we had a great night and I was upset by the rating. I have screenshots of the conversation for clarification if needed. Unfortunately that doesn't alter the fact that my overall rating is lowered and I hope it won't affect future clients booking me. I always give 100 percent in every gig. Thanks for choosing me, Martin, and I am glad you had a great night, great buffet too x

Amazing night!

I had a great experience hiring dj Smurf for my party. Excellent communication and accomodation for specific requests I had. Amazing sound and light system, we had all the guests on the dance floor. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant night had by all

Thankyou so much for the fantastic night you helped to create. Got everyone up singing, everyone got chance to sing and the music was spot on. Lighting and sound was perfect and not too loud you could hear people if you wanted to chat. Great service would highly recommend

Good Service

DJ Smurf was a good DJ as everyone had an amazing night. Communciaton was really good as she asked us for a playlist of songs that we wanted to be played thoughout the party for the night, however it appeared that only some of this was played towards the end of the night when most of the guests had already left. We have been given feedback from our guests that when some of the children asked for a song to be played she was abrupt towards them children and to be told them to get off the stage resulting in tears and upset children. We understand children should not be on the stage around equipment for safety and insurance purposes. Overall all was good and everyone else had a good night. Thankyou DJ Smurf.

As I explained during the evening, I did play selected songs from your playlist throughout the night, but didn't want to play your dance tunes at 8pm when you were about to open the buffet, choosing to play them when people would be ready and willing to dance. I was also playing requests from your guests between your playlist songs. I played every single one. I did explain right at the beginning of the night that the children would not be allowed on stage due to health and safety, and insurance issues. Despite this I had to ask the same children, over and over again, to get off the stage. The bar staff also had to reprimand the same children for damaging venue equipment. I am glad your guests had an amazing night, as you said.
