What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

When discussing a booking, I am able to give a more accurate quote if provided with the date, venue, type of event and number of guests as well as if there are any specific requirements from the DJ and if the guests would like to get involved with the playlist.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check out if they have any social media active, look at their Facebook account and check out any pictures. Ask if the lights and sound system are able to cater for that party, as well as if the DJ is flexible on what he brings to a large/small party.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

As a DJ, I've been lucky enough to have some fantastic gigs, from working overseas in Greece with 18-30s and Club UK to bar and club residencies in Manchester including Club Venus, Deansgate Locks and BaaBar. My passion has always been the music and I'm happy to play to whatever crowd I have in front of me and always invite my guests to get involved in the playlist.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I was introduced to the site by a friend and within days of signing up had my first booking enquiry and confirmed booking. I love the site as it gives me control what gigs I take and cuts out the high percentage fee of the agent. I'd happily invite my other DJ mates and would recommend Add to Event to them.
