Our Story
I’ve always been drawn to environments where people are moving, connecting and pushing themselves - particularly CrossFit gyms and fitness events - and I noticed that the coffee at these spaces was often an afterthought, despite how central coffee is to people’s routines.
With a background working in speciality coffee and hands-on experience behind the bar, I wanted to create something that combined speciality-level coffee with the flexibility and practicality needed for events. Flux was built to be mobile, efficient and adaptable, without compromising on quality.
The name 'Flux' reflects that idea: movement, momentum and change. Coffee fits naturally into dynamic environments like competitions, pop-ups and community events. Every part of the setup is designed to work smoothly, where timing, flow and reliability matter just as much as the drink itself.
What inspires Flux is simple: serving genuinely good coffee in places where it’s appreciated, in a way that enhances the event rather than complicating it. Our Team
I'm Rose, and I'm the owner and barista behind Flux Coffee House. Flux is my passion, inspired by my love of movement (particularly CrossFit), with the name also paying homage to my Engineering PhD that I'm currently doing alongside my coffee business.
Experience
With 9 years of experience working in hospitality as a barista in a busy coffee shop, and having received coffee training from the best of the best over in Amsterdam (Five Ways Coffee Roasters), you can be assured I know what I'm doing behind the bar.
