Retro DJ made music for my 40 birthday, including karaoke. We had a great time!

I was very happy with Retro DJ. Steve was easy to communicate with, helpful on the phone and email. He arrived in very good time. He set up quietly. He played background music during the early part of the party and then ramped it up to get everyone on the dance floor. He played 60s and 70s music which was just right for the age group. He then cleared away efficiently. He was polite and pleasant to deal with. I have no complaints and would recommend him.

Steve provided a projector, laptop and screen so we could display our wedding photos. All worked perfectly throughout the evening and was a reasonable cost at short notice. Many thanks

Steve was hired to DJ for a function on an army barracks. And he did not disappoint. He was polite from the first email interaction, ensuring all prices were covered, and that he told us all the different things he had to offer. He set up on the night, and the music was ready to go before guests arrived. He played a fantastic mix of music, happy to take requests, even if they did differ in style from a song he already had playing.... He was amazing, and would definitely be booked in the future for future functions!!! 100% a top bloke!!!!

Thanks Steve for lighting up our wedding night.

Everything is amazing. The music, lights etc. are fab. The majority of our guests are from China so we had the concern that they may not react well. But Steve really did an excellent job in communication with us. We had the pre-meeting to discuss the style we want and the choices of music we’d like to go for. It works perfect in the end and Steve even played a few Chinese songs for us! He also helped accommodate a few changes that we’d like to make in the first dance song. Very skilful editting!

The dance floor is HOT throughout the night and our guests all enjoyed the wedding ‘clubbing’ night!

Strongly recommend Steve. A very well organised person with professional DJ expertise.

From booking retro DJ up until the day we kept in contact over email and met once to discuss the genre of music and how we would like to night to go. Steve did not fail to deliver on the night! We had many comments on how good the DJ was and he played the perfect music which got everyone up dancing. I found Steve by chance when I was searching online, always a bit nervous about doing that sort of thing but absolutely no need to be. Steve always replied quickly which reassured me that he was going to be good before he even showed up on the night. We had a theme of a night at the movies and he catered perfectly for us by playing the majority of songs from the movies. He gauged his audience very well and everyone was up in the dance floor! His set up looked and sounded great. He used uplighters around the room which added a great affect! I would 100% book Steve again.
