Got into security because I’ve always been drawn to work where calm, disciplined decision-making genuinely protects people and keeps organisations running when things go wrong. Early in my career—building on the leadership and operational planning foundations from my time as a British Army Corporal—I saw first-hand that “security” only works when it is practical, proportionate, and accountable, not just visible. That principle still drives everything I do. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve worked across the UK, the Middle East, and complex/high-risk environments, delivering security leadership in corporate, critical infrastructure, defence-adjacent programmes, and other regulated environments. My background includes leading and advising on multi-site security operations, conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability surveys, building risk registers, and translating real-world threats into auditable controls—access control, incident response, asset protection, and resilience measures that stand up to scrutiny and actually reduce risk. What inspires me to do what I do is the impact of doing security properly: preventing incidents, reducing harm, protecting reputations, and allowing clients to operate with confidence. I’m motivated by delivering a professional service where clients know they’re covered—because the team is well-led, well-briefed, and operating to clear standards.
