Steve Wilkinson Magician & Mentalist

From an early age I had always been interested in magic and so I started with card magic. However my performance in card magic was mediocre and then I discovered Mentalism or Mind Reading - the ability to read or influence minds! After some of my effects to an audience or individual I hear five words - "How did he do that!" This is the biggest compliment to me. I delight in performing mind reading effects and my purpose for the the occasion is bring laughter, wonder and unfathomable entertainment. My inspiration is continually learning new effects, to reach even higher levels of my mind reading ability.

As mentioned, I have performed magic for many years but changed to specialise in Mentalism - the ability to read or influence minds about 8 years ago and therefore devoted my expertise to this type of magic. Mentalism type of magic is still relatively new to an audience until I explain what it is. In my experience, when a magician is booked for an event, the audience, for whatever the occasion, usually expects to see some card magic, so when I do some mind-reading effects, which are all different, the reaction is spontaneous in amazement and infectious! In this respect, therefore, I am very grateful for receiving positive 5-star reviews at events

The types of events where I am requested to perform are at private houses, restaurants, hotels, weddings and corporate events. When a magician is required, this can be for a birthday, office, anniversary party or at a wedding reception entertaining the guests before or after the wedding breakfast or additionally in the evening. My intention is to compliment the occasion so it is well remembered long after the event.

I am a member of the Home Counties Magic Society and thinking of joining the Magic Circle.
