About The Melted Cheese Co

We are an experienced Gloucester-based company that specialises in traditional alpine food. Our own 5-cheese Fondue, & Raclette Cheese, which is a semi-hard cow’s milk cheese made in the French & Swiss Alps. The cheese has a very distinctive, pleasant, aromatic smell with a creamy texture, similar to Gruyere cheese. The flavour can vary from nutty, slightly acidic to milky. Our Raclette is vegetarian and our dishes can also be made gluten free.

The Raclette cheese is melted from a 3.5kg half wheel, on a specially designed gas grill. The grill toasts the open face of the cheese until it is golden brown and bubbling, the melted cheese is then scraped off the half-wheel and onto the dish. The melting process is done for each order in front of the customer, where they get to see the cheese melting and smell the pleasant aroma. It's different, theatrical and it tastes great. Raclette elevates an ordinary cheese dish into something extra special and people love it.

Our fondue is gooey, stringy and traditional, made with Raclette, Gruyere, Emmental, Mozzarella & Cheddar and heated gently.

Our dishes include:
Traditional Raclette - Traditional Raclette - A scrape of Raclette cheese served on crushed garlic and herb baby potatoes, topped with gherkins, crispy onions and chives.

Fondue fries - A large spoonful of fondue cheese served on twice-cooked fries, topped with crispy onions, gherkins and chives.

Fondue pocket- Our 5 cheese fondue mix poured into a crunchy, warm, hollowed-out, french baguette and topped with gherkins, crispy onions and chives.

Rac, Mac & Cheese - A scrape of Raclette cheese served on top of pasta and cheese sauce, topped with crispy onions, crushed garlic croutons and chives.
